Tessie Tan: Cosplay Chess Requires Lots of Dedication

We speak to Cosplay Chess’ Tessie Tan aka KacangPuteh at International Cosplay Day Singapore (ICDS) by the Neo Tokyo Project.

Singapore’s Annual Cosplay Chess is a 2-hour long stage show by fans, for fans, where Cosplayers from the community reprise the roles of their favorite anime, comic book, game and manga characters, and duke it out in human chess game that takes place on stage.

Each year, Singapore’s Annual Cosplay Chess features a different theme, and provides both novices and veterans alike an opportunity to heighten and showcase their craft, both as cosplayers and performers.
