MTV’s critically acclaimed series Catfish: The TV Show returns for its fifth season with an explosive season premiere on 20 March, Sundays at 7pm (TH/WIB), 8pm (SG), 9pm (MY) and 22 March, Tuesdays at 11.30am (PH).
What is ‘Catfish’ all about? Well a ‘catfish’ is basically posting (and posing) as someone you’re not. Hosts Nev Schulman and Max Joseph bring together couples that have ‘fallen in love’ over the internet, Instagram, Facebook (you get the idea) for the first time and uncover if they really are who they say they are.
In the first episode, a concerned daughter, Shuntay, enlists the help of Nev and Max after her mother, Jeanette, begins talking about marriage and uprooting her family to be with a man who refuses to meet in person… I think something’s fishy.

Catfish: The Untold Stories premieres on Sunday, 6 March at 7pm (TH/WIB), 8pm (SG), 9pm (MY), and Tuesday, 8 March at 11.30am (PH).
