Michelle Rodriguez was interviewed about her role in the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons movie, Honor Among Thieves, premiering at South by Southwest on March 10, 2023, and shared her thoughts on the roleplaying game.
For those of us unfamiliar with the fantasy world of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), Rodriguez said that it was “a gym for the imagination.”
In Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Rodriguez plays Holga Kilgore, a barbarian who was exiled from the Uthgardt Elk Tribe.
The film is directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Gilio from a story by Chris McKay and Gilio. It’s based on the tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons, and it’s set in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting.
The movie stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis and Hugh Grant.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will be released in cinemas on March 31.
