Beerus is waking up, and Earth’s brief spell of peace is about to end. Toei Animation and Crunchyroll have announced that Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will begin streaming on Crunchyroll on October 11, with Southeast Asia among the regions receiving the subtitled series.
The series revisits Beerus’ arrival and his fateful encounter with Goku, offering an enhanced edition of the Dragon Ball Super storyline. Fans can expect both enhanced and all-new animation and visuals as the God of Destruction returns to threaten Earth.

Produced by Toei Animation, the studio behind the Dragon Ball franchise, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus draws on creator Akira Toriyama’s original story, character designs and creative vision.
The story takes place several years after the battle against Majin Buu, with Earth finally enjoying a brief period of peace. Elsewhere, Beerus awakens from a long sleep, causing alarm among Kai and Supreme Kai, who know he possesses the power to destroy entire planets.
After hearing about a Saiyan who defeated Frieza, Beerus appears before Goku. Their encounter puts Earth in danger and sets the stage for a cosmic confrontation involving Goku and his allies, with consequences that reach far beyond their home planet.
For returning viewers, the series offers a chance to revisit a pivotal encounter with refreshed visuals. For newcomers, it introduces the formidable God of Destruction and the threat his awakening poses to Goku’s world.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will stream with subtitles on Crunchyroll in Southeast Asia, the United States, Canada, Latin America including Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India and Europe from October 11.
