England and Germany Legends Rekindle Rivalries in Singapore For Battle Of Europe 2016

Reigniting the famous rivalry between Germany and England, the England Masters team will take on Germany Masters at the Singapore National Stadium in 12 November. The match will no doubt evoke memories for the England Masters team, as this year marks the 50th anniversary of England’s last FIFA World Cup win. Former England and Liverpool goalkeeper David James shared, “Matches against Germany are always memorable and the Battle of Europe is no different. I’ve always enjoyed my trips to Singapore and it will be extra special for me this November and I am looking forward to playing alongside my team mates in a couple of months.”

A friendly match aside, Riedle hinted that the Germans still do have their competive mindset stating that there are a couple of German players who are ‘still in good shape’ given their age and will work their best to give the spectators a good display!

Dietmar Hamann, Emile Heskey, Jens Nowotny, Mario Basler and Lothar Matthäus are just a few other legends who will be showcasing their class in the National Stadium.

“It is always our aim to bring together some of the best names in international football for our fans, who have been so supportive over the years. The players are all eager to return to the pitch and are itching for a good game!” concluded Steve Black, Chief Executive Officer of Masters Football Asia.
