The decade-spanning series is typically known for action and adventure, humour, thrills and drama. However, this season is more anticipated than most as for the first time, we’ll see a female Doctor – a move that has split fans.

The new series also marks the run of new showrunner Chris Chibnall who takes over the show from Steven Moffat who launched the revival of the series in 2005.
