Singapore Cable Car Expands Its SkyOrb Cabin Fleet — More Chrome, More Views

Mount Faber Leisure Group (MFLG) has announced the expansion of its dazzling SkyOrb Cabin fleet on the Singapore Cable Car’s Mount Faber Line, increasing the number of chrome-finished cabins from seven to twenty by mid-November 2025.

The upgrade not only amplifies capacity but also enhances the experience, transforming what was once a one-way ride into a complete round-trip journey between Mount Faber and Sentosa.

The SkyOrb Cabin, first unveiled in March 2024, is a world first. Designed in Olten, Switzerland, these fifth-generation cabins feature illuminated rings on both sides that catch the light in a futuristic way.

Inside, guests are treated to panoramic glass panels, a glass floor that gives a thrilling view of the landscape below, and cleverly designed louvred windows for a breezy, comfortable ride.

Since debuting to commemorate the Singapore Cable Car’s 50th anniversary, the SkyOrb Cabin has captured the imagination of both locals and tourists.

Its popularity has even earned it top honours at the TripZilla Excellence Awards 2025, where it won in two categories – Best Iconic Experience and Best Scenic Attraction.

“The expansion of the SkyOrb cabin fleet is part of Mount Faber Leisure Group’s commitment to refreshing our attractions and enhancing the visitor experience, in line with the wider transformation taking place across the Greater Southern Waterfront,” said Buhdy Bok, Managing Director of Mount Faber Leisure Group.

“By tripling our fleet, we are able to welcome more guests to the SkyOrb cabin experience, while continuing to contribute to the future of Singapore’s tourism.”

To celebrate Singapore’s 60th anniversary, MFLG is also rolling out a limited-time online exclusive promotion: a round-trip for two in the SkyOrb Cabin at just $60 (usual price: $96).

The promotion runs from 6 October to 5 November 2025, making it the perfect reason to rediscover Singapore’s skyline in high style.

With twenty SkyOrb cabins now gliding across the Harbourfront and Sentosa skyline, the Singapore Cable Car is reaffirming its position as one of the city’s most iconic and innovative attractions.
