PRISM+ continues to expand their lifestyle offerings and break into the smart home security market with the PRISM+ Sentinel Door Lock and Sentry Gate Lock.

These premium digital locks offer state-of-the-art security, seamless integration, and stunning design—all at a competitive price.

Available in both Standard and Pro versions, the Sentinel and Sentry introduce features such as DuoSync technology, 3D facial recognition, and a unibody aerospace-grade aluminium design that has been lab-tested for military-grade reliability.

PRISM+ promised an innovative, stylish, and functional security solution, which does live up to it.

Not a newcomer to the “digital lock world”, I’ve been using one for the last 9 years, and it’s provided me with a good benchmark on where the technology and security have moved towards.

PRISM+ has focused on functionality and placed great emphasis on durability and aesthetics. Unlike many smart locks assembled from multiple parts, the Sentinel and Sentry locks are precision-milled from a single block of aerospace-grade aluminium.

This unibody design feels tough and very sturdy. Unlike my previous lock, after several years of opening and closing, pushing and pulling, eventually (the plastic casing) started to crack and fall apart. I have no worries about that happening here.

The PRISM+ Sentinel is also much slimmer than my previous digital lock. An outline is now visible and left behind by the last lock. Well, I’m due to replace my door anyway.

Regarding ease of access, the PRISM+ Sentinel and Sentry Pro models stand out as the first smart locks on the market to combine DuoSync and facial recognition technology in a single device.

DuoSync allows homeowners to unlock the door and the gate simultaneously with a single action, removing the need for multiple inputs and enhancing convenience.

The Pro models also introduce 3D facial recognition, which scans and verifies the homeowner’s face for hands-free, keyless entry. This feature is handy when carrying groceries without me having to input a PIN.

This was my quality-of-life improvement – my previous model only had PIN and card functions. I chose not to have fingerprint access back then.

Beyond that, even all Sentinel and Sentry series models support multiple access methods, including fingerprint recognition, PIN code entry, RFID card authentication, and smartphone app control.

This wide range of options ensures flexibility, catering to different user preferences and needs – even one-time codes for guests.

Battery life is a significant consideration for any smart lock, and the PRISM+ Sentinel and Sentry series deliver some of the longest-lasting options available.

The Standard models can last up to 12 months on a single charge, while the Pro models, which incorporate 3D facial recognition, have a battery life of up to nine months per charge.

Both versions feature USB-C rechargeable and replaceable Li-Ion batteries, which is much more convenient than looking for (and purchasing) AA batteries.

The Sentinel and Sentry locks integrate seamlessly into the PRISM+ smart home ecosystem via the PRISM+ Connect App.

It is extremely easy to lock and unlock doors remotely, customize security settings, and manage other profiles that have access to the locks.

This level of connectivity enhances the overall smart home experience, making it easier to control home security from anywhere.

The feature I probably miss from my previous lock (and I’m nitpicking here) is the push/pull feature when leaving home. Before, I could pull on the handle, and the door would open. Now, I press the button, and it opens. It adds 0.5 seconds to my day—I did say I was nitpicking.

PRISM+ continues positioning its smart locks at a competitive price point, ensuring they remain accessible to many homeowners.

The PRISM+ Sentinel Standard model costs $699, while the Sentinel Pro costs $799. For those who want to secure their door and gate, the PRISM+ Sentry Standard costs $379, and the Sentry Pro costs $449.

The Pro Bundle, featuring the facial recognition-enabled versions, costs $999. In addition to the previously mentioned freebies, bundle buyers will also receive a free Video Doorbell, adding another layer of security to their homes.

PRISM+ entry into the home security market with the Sentinel and Sentry is well thought out, feature-packed, well-designed, and affordable.

The DuoSync unlocking, sleek design, and unibody aerospace-grade construction make it a standout choice for homeowners seeking convenience and security.
