In today’s world, where air quality can be unpredictable, having an air purifier at home has become increasingly important.

Good air purifiers help create a healthier environment for you and your family by filtering out allergens, dust, or even airborne viruses.

With pollutants and allergens often lingering indoors, an air purifier offers peace of mind by ensuring the air you breathe is as fresh and pure as possible, making it an essential addition to any home.

This is where the diminutive PRISM+ Aura air purifier comes in. The “pint-sized” model from PRISM+‘s air purifier range is a great addition to smaller rooms or studies.

Packaged in a simple, clean white box featuring an image of the purifier and its model name, setting it up is straightforward. Just plug it in, press the power button between the two “eyes” (which is quite satisfying) until you hear two beeps. You then connect it using the PRISM+ Connect app.

Installing the filter is equally simple—turn the knob at the bottom, insert the filter, and secure the cover back in place.

The PRISM+ Aura air purifier is designed to be both compact and lightweight, making it an easy fit for most spaces in your home. With dimensions of 225 x 225 x 459mm, it has a sleek, unobtrusive profile that won’t dominate your room’s aesthetic.

Weighing in at just 2.87kg, it’s also relatively light, allowing you to move it between rooms easily if needed. This balance of size and weight contributes to its overall appeal as a stylish yet practical solution for maintaining clean air in various living spaces.

One of the first things you’ll notice is the strong airflow this purifier can generate. While it’s not designed to be a fan, it moves air impressively well, directing it upward to evenly distribute clean air throughout the room – especially if you have it on a desk.

The High setting is powerful for robust air circulation (especially for its size), but Medium or Auto should suffice for daily use.

Visually, the PRISM+ Aura stands out with its sleek design. The black LED display, featuring two “eyes” that indicate air quality, adds a touch of personality like PlayStations Astrobot.

Price-wise, the PRISM+ Aura is a great deal. At SGD 149, it’s affordable, and the replacement filters, which are often a significant cost over time, are reasonably priced at SGD 38 each.

The high-quality filters feature a HEPA H13 system that effectively captures airborne particles, including dust, pollen, bacteria, and viruses.

However, it’s worth noting that the purifier relies heavily on the app for control, so if you encounter connectivity problems, you might find yourself limited to the Auto mode.

While Auto is generally reliable, having more control over the settings would be beneficial, especially when there’s smoke in the room. So far, though, there have been no issues. Connecting to the app was simple and quick.

Another consideration is the noise level in the High setting. While it’s effective at quickly cleaning the air, it is quite loud, which might be disruptive. However, that’s probably another indication that the air needs a good clean.

Overall, the PRISM+ Aura is a stylish and efficient air purifier that performs well in most settings. While not as powerful as the bigger PRISM+ Vortex Pro, it is reasonably priced and a solid choice for improving indoor air quality and adding a nice aesthetic touch to your home.
