Having previously impressed us with its projectors, the brand has ventured beyond cinema into ambience with a lighting projector designed to transform any room into a starry sanctuary or a psychedelic dreamscape.
Right out of the box, the LUMOS MOOD feels lightweight and portable, though we wish the casing felt a tad sturdier. Still, its compact size—slightly larger than a paperback—makes it easy to place anywhere.
Thanks to its USB-powered setup, it’s not tethered to a wall socket. Yes, it runs on a power bank, too, which gives it a big tick in the portability department.
We tested the LUMOS MOOD in a standard bedroom setting. With the lights off and the projector on, the ceiling (and parts of the walls) lit up in swirling red, blue, and green hues.
The tri-colour RGB light system creates a nebula-like glow, scattered with pinpricks of green light mimicking stars. It also includes an optional moon projection that floats serenely across the canvas of your ceiling.
The projection isn’t static either—the colours shift and move slowly in a hypnotic dance, instantly elevating the ambience from mundane to magical.
One of the standout features is the LUMOS MOOD’s massive 300-inch coverage. Even when aimed at the ceiling, the light show effortlessly spills onto the walls, enveloping the space in colour.
It’s immersive in a way that feels soothing, cinematic, and yes, just plain cool. The unit also supports four placement angles, allowing you to tweak how and where the projections appear. We found that a 45-degree tilt from a corner worked best for whole-room coverage.
Control-wise, everything is at your fingertips with the included remote. Whether you want to tweak the colours, remove the moon, speed up the motion, or set a timer before bed, the remote gives you complete control of the mood.
The projector lives up to its name—it is all about setting a mood. From calming lullabies to party vibes, it adapts to the atmosphere you aim to create.
But there’s more. The LUMOS MOOD doubles as a Bluetooth speaker. Pairing it with a smartphone was easy, and while the sound isn’t mind-blowing (it lacks punchy bass), it’s acceptable for background tunes.
More importantly, the light projection syncs with your music’s beat, turning your bedroom into a relaxed chill zone—or an impromptu dance floor, depending on your playlist.

Our only minor gripe is that the outer shell could be a little more premium-feeling. But at its current price point at SGD 69, considering its multifunctionality and sheer visual impact, that’s a small trade-off.
