They say alcohol doesn’t solve your problems, but neither does water. Whether you’re looking to indulge in your favourite mix or just mix it up to indulge yourself, Idle is the place for you.
Idle @ I.B.P offers a hell of a good deal, even if you just want to take it slow with a few drinks and head to a club after midnight. This relaxed bar has one of the cheapest liquid buffets in town, at $30 for lads and $25 for lasses… who are above 18, of course.
In rocket science terms, that’s just three glasses you need to drink to make the price worth it, in comparison against usual drink prices. Relish the opportunity to enjoy a variety of great drinks and great fun in the night… and more fun the next morning when you’re trying to recall exactly what it was you were drinking.
If you’re looking for something closer to home or to your regular watering holes, Idle is set to open at Prinsep Street in August, and also has a collaboration with The Balcony at Boat Quay, which offers the liquid buffet as well.
Just be sure to give them a call at 92337533 beforehand to make sure you have a spot secure.

What’s better than beastly burgers and beer? CHEAP beastly burgers and beer!
The Burger Bar at Boat Quay is an interesting spin on the well known Fatboy’s burger chain, with casual dinner-&-drinks friendly prices. The joint’s drink prices are easily the best at Boat Quay, with $8 house pours and $10 draught and bottled beers.
And, of course, it doesn’t hurt that their burgers are just as awesome as their more popular counterpart’s.

The wonderful but hidden drinking hole is not the neighbourhood bar that you’d expect it to be. Located along Joo Chiat road, this bar will top your list if you’re a fan of a quality range of beer, cider and British pub food that totally kicks ass.
The bar’s prices start at $5 for a draught of the usual lagers, $8-$10 for bottles, and $6 a glass for house pour spirits. Don’t think that the prices are a compromise on quality though–the drink menu and minimal marketing here is but a reflection of a bar that wants you to truly feel, taste and understand its craft. If you’re looking for a place to relax at after a tough work week, free of noise, pomp, and frills, or to try new drinks, this is the perfect place for you.
If you happen to visit the Cider Pit, make sure to try their Snakebite, a stein of beer mixed with fruity cider – the combination delivers a smooth, pleasant surprise that I’m pretty sure feels nothing like an actual snake bite.
