Esports Integrated, Tencent and Moonton to Drive Esports Community in Malaysia

Esports Integrated (ESI), the strategic catalyst agency for both youth and sports centric initiatives under the purview of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), Malaysia has announced its collaboration with game developers Tencent and Moonton.

To drive growth and diversity in the local esports community that will impact 20.1 million Malaysians, ESI believes that it plays a crucial part in creating opportunities for local talents to participate in professional leagues, both locally and Internationally.

Through its collaboration with Tencent and Moonton, the local esports and gaming talents will stand a chance to compete in the bigger and more competitive leagues as both game developers are offering a seat slot into MPL Qualifiers for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and PUBG Mobile Malaysia National Championship (PMNC) respectively.

Registrations for Malaysian Esports Championship 2020 are currently open. Participants of the MEC 2020 will stand a chance to win from a prize pool of RM100,000 in cash when they compete in four popular game titles featured in the championship, such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile, Dota 2 and FIFA 21 across mobile, desktop and console platforms.
