Soul Fighter: Riot Games Unveils Summer Event Across All Four Runeterra Titles

Riot Games has announced the launch of “Soul Fighter” – a high-octane, six-week adventure infusing the worlds of League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and Legends of Runeterra with fresh content.

Set to kick off on July 20 and wrap up on August 28, Soul Fighter marks Riot Games’ nod to the fighting game genre, leveraging the deep emotional resonance and unique character moments that define fighting games and anime tournament arcs.

“Soul Fighter” brings players into an alternate universe brimming with vibrant diversity. Here, competitors clash in the “Tournament of Souls,” the world’s biggest stage, striving to prove their worth in battle. Overseen by the enigmatic God’s Eye, combatants with exceptional abilities will vie for the top spot until only one victor emerges.

“Soul Fighter promises a broad spectrum of experiences throughout the League of Legends universe,” enthused Andrei van Roon, Head of League Studio.

“With the inclusion of new game modes such as Arena, Soul Brawl, and Tag Duel, we anticipate an exciting, fresh dimension to the games. We eagerly await player feedback.”

Across all four games, Soul Fighter will offer a plethora of novel experiences:

In “League of Legends”, Riot introduces an entirely new game mode, a dozen new Soul Fighter skins, an in-client metagame experience, a new champion, and more:

  • “Teamfight Tactics” introduces a fresh game mode and narrative experience, new Tacticians, an Event Pass, and a Mythic arena.
  • “League of Legends: Wild Rift” teases six new Soul Fighter skins, an original in-client narrative experience, and a unique game mode designed exclusively for Wild Rift.
  • “Legends of Runeterra” offers a new event pass and a host of cosmetics.

During the Soul Fighter event, Riot will direct 20% of proceeds from Soul Fighter Samira, the Soul Fighter Event Pass, and all related bundle sales in League of Legends to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund, a donor-advised fund account hosted by ImpactAssets.

This includes Soul Fighter Samira, the Unmatched Bounty Hunter Bundle, and both the Soul Fighter Event Pass and Bundle.

To commemorate the launch of Soul Fighter, Riot Games is hosting “Soul Fighter: Fight Night,” a live-streamed event featuring 16 content creators competing for the Fight Night Champion title. The competition is set for July 17 at 6:00 PM PT and will be live-streamed on Twitch from Los Angeles, California.

For APAC players, Riot reminds that the migration of LoL/TFT accounts from Garena servers to Riot servers remains available via the account migration portal.

However, the window for migration will permanently close on August 31st GMT +8, so players should take the opportunity to switch before the deadline.

With a plethora of new experiences in store, the Soul Fighter event looks set to spark a revolution in the Runeterra universe.
