Get ready for the first-ever Asia Pop Con, set to take the pop culture scene by storm this September!
This ground-breaking event will take place from 28th to 29th September 2024 at the Pavilion Exhibition Centre Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, marking the beginning of a new tradition that celebrates the diverse and vibrant world of pop culture. Fans, creators and industry professionals will converge for an unforgettable weekend of fun, creativity, and innovation.
Asia Pop Con 2024 will feature an exciting line-up of special guests, including legendary voice actor (Metal Gear Solid, Spider-Man) and screenwriter (X-Men, Watchmen, Warrior Nun) David Hayter. The event will also feature Hayter’s MGS brethren, the multi-talented Stefanie Joosten, known as the voice of “Quiet” and singer.
Additionally, attendees can look forward to meeting renowned artists Alan Quah and Mudfizal, as well as comic artist and toy designer Michael Chuah. Our beloved Malaysian comic artist Earnest Ng will also be joining the festivities, along with famous Malaysian toy photographer Patrick Ong, Shaliza Erna and Tham Ying Keet.
Representatives from Malaysia Arttoy Showcase, including Edward Low, Darrel Cheong, Julia Wee and Lim Chun Woei, will also be present to share their expertise and passion for toy designing.
The event will also welcome an array of distinguished guests such as Adam John (Actor, Collector and APC24 Ambassador), Aza (pioneer Gila-Gila cartoonist), Aziz M. Osman (Actor, Director, Screenwriter and Director), Niezam (Comic Artist), Amin Idris (TV Host and Writer), Mat Over and Sathia (Actors from Pi Mai Pi Mai Tangtu).
Also featured are exhibitions by famous brands such as Bandai, Banpresto, Ramen Toys, Blokees, Konami and Gempak Starz, offering attendees the chance to explore the latest and greatest in pop culture merchandise.
