Portability, versatility and performance are probably some of the most important features we need in today’s environment. The PRISM+ Nomad Ultra 13 checks all boxes.
The PRISM+ Nomad Ultra 13 is the company’s most travel-friendly portable monitor. Featuring a Full HD 13″ OLED screen, it easily fits in your backpack and weighs a barely noticeable 0.55Kg.
There are several reasons to get a secondary screen. Firstly, it makes working off a laptop so much more convenient when you can widen your desktop space for spreadsheets and a dedicated screen for Powerpoint presentations.
Maybe you’re a Creative and it helps you visualize draw and design better. Or sometimes you just need a bigger screen than your phone to game or stream your favourite show. Whatever the reason, most of us have already subscribed to the idea of a secondary screen.
Frankly, once you’ve got a second screen, it’s hard to go back to a one-screen life.

The Nomad Ultra 13’s full HD display is an extremely portable and versatile addition to your kit. The 13″ screen is big enough to make a difference and expand your desktop, but not too big that you can still use it at a cafe.
The portable monitor has a sleek modern design and has a Mini HDMI and 2 USB Type-C ports which are used to connect to your main device.
The 60Hz OLED screen is bright, and clear and the colours are vivid. Getting it up and running is as simple as connecting it via the provided USB Type-C cable to a laptop or device. No additional software required.
However, you will need power. If you’re using the USB Type-C cable that comes with it, and your device supports power delivery you’re fine. If you are using the HDMI port for display purposes, you will need to provide power via the USB Type-C port and the provided power adapter.

The monitor also features built-in blue light filters and an anti-glare screen that reduces eye strain and minimizes fatigue from long hours of screen time. I felt really comfortable using the monitor in several different conditions – both indoors and outdoors. You can adjust the settings via a panel to suit your environment.
The PRISM+ Nomad Ultra 13 also comes with built-in stereo speakers that are pretty decent. They aren’t the best and do lack some bass, but they’re really quite decent for built-in speakers on what is effectively a tablet screen.

It also comes with a sleeve that can fold itself into an ergonomic kickstand for the optimal handsfree viewing experience. The kickstand is actually quite stable, but I do worry about the rubber bumpers around the side which look pretty fragile.
With my personal track record of dropping things, I’ll be looking for “military-grade” drop protection soon.
Where the PRISM+ Nomad Ultra 13 really shines is its price point and versatility. At only SGD 399, I have found so much use for it beyond just a secondary monitor for my laptop.
Attached to my phone, it allows me to bring less intensive games to a bigger screen. Need a monitor for your camera? Just get a mini-HDMI to mini-HDMI and you have a reference monitor for your DSLR when shooting video.

We’ve even used it as part of our board gaming sessions – a bigger screen and closer audio for games that require apps to play.
Of course, you might need to get your own cables and adapters – we used the Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter for our older iPad 2 and iPhone 13 Pro.
Its versatility goes a long way and at 13″, it probably is the perfect size for its purpose.

The PRISM+ Nomad Ultra 13 is an extremely portable and versatile addition to your kit – be it for standard office work or something a little more fun and creative.
