Today, ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda Softworks unveiled the newest Chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road, available now for PC and Mac users.
This latest addition promises 30 hours of engaging main quest content set in the new zone of West Weald. It introduces an exciting Scribing system and a gripping narrative featuring a new Daedric Prince. For the first time, players who pick up ESO: Gold Road can participate in an in-game launch celebration, offering a unique reward to all attendees.
Gold Road introduces the innovative Scribing system, allowing players to craft and customize their abilities using unique scripts. This system enhances player versatility and roleplaying opportunities, making it a powerful tool for personalizing the ESO experience.
The Gold Road Chapter opens up the West Weald zone, a wealthy Imperial province last seen in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Players can explore the city of Skingrad, the Gold Road region, and the emergent Dawnwood.
This zone is packed with new side quests, world bosses, delves, public dungeons, and more.
Gold Road is brimming with new Achievements, items, and collectibles. Players can discover 10 powerful item sets, three unique Mythic items, fragments for the Tales of Tribute patron deck, and a new type of collectible called Skill Styles. The Chapter also features a new 12-player group trial, Lucent Citadel, where adventurers can explore a forgotten Daedric vault in Fargrave, encounter unique bosses, and uncover the secrets of the Arcane Knot.
Alongside Gold Road, Update 42 brings significant improvements to the base game. In-game mail receives a comprehensive overhaul, introducing new categories, improved sorting, attachment preview, and inventory space display.
This update also includes the Adventure Across a Decade Achievement, celebrating ESO’s 10th Anniversary with the “Fractured Glory” skin for completing notable questlines. Full details on Update 42 are available in the patch notes on the official forums.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road is available in four editions:
