There’s no better way to usher in the holiday season than with a splash of festive spirit. Singapore Distillery kicks off the holidays with the return of the crowd-favourite Christmas Cake Gin — a nostalgic, spice-filled spirit inspired by a family recipe.
First introduced in 2024, the gin quickly became a seasonal sensation thanks to its rich, nostalgic flavours that taste like Christmas bottled up.
Inspired by founder Ashwin Sekaran’s mother’s own Christmas cake recipe, the gin is blended with juniper, cinnamon, cloves, raisins, and candied fruit. The comforting mix evokes the warmth and spice of the holidays.
“We released it for the first time last year and were thrilled with the response,” said Ashwin.
“So we’re really excited to bring it back this year and have an event with bar.ter to kick off its release.”

While the Christmas Cake Gin steals the seasonal spotlight, it’s just one part of Singapore Distillery’s growing portfolio of bold, locally inspired spirits.
The Merlion Gin stands tall as the distillery’s signature take on a London Dry, featuring bright citrus and spice notes that mirror Singapore’s diverse culinary character.

Meanwhile, the Coconut Pandan Gin offers a smooth, aromatic escape to the tropics, distilled with fresh pandan and coconut for an irresistibly fragrant finish.
Each bottle in Singapore Distillery’s range tells a story rooted in local heritage and global technique, balancing tradition with creativity.

Whether it’s the comforting sweetness of the Christmas Cake Gin or the tropical flair of Coconut Pandan, these spirits embody the inventive, homegrown energy that has put Singapore’s craft scene on the map.
The Christmas Cake Gin will be available from now until December 31, 2025, at bar. ter and select stores.
So if you’re looking to sip on a bit of nostalgia this festive season, now’s the time to raise a glass with some Christmas cake.
