Potato Head Folk and Lindsay Todd Present Vinyl Audio-Visual Showcase

Paying homage to the vinyl and records trade, PTT Family, the Jakarta-based group behind the world-renowned Potato Head Beach Club in Bali and Potato Head Folk in Singapore has collaborated with Edinburgh-based boutique label Firecracker Recordings to bring an exclusive range of vinyl screen sleeve designs and merchandise to its establishments.

Following the success of the Neighbourhood pop-up store at the entrance of Three Buns restaurant, Potato Head Folk will transform the area into an exciting audio-visual showcase from 13th November. This is Potato Head Folk’s second collaboration, first bringing fashion and now culture and music to the dining experience. The month-long pop-up store will host the selection of vinyl screen prints and merchandise for customers to purchase alongside their burgers.

Started in 2004 by elusive DJ and producer, Lindsay Todd, who also goes by his ‘House of Traps’ alias, Firecracker Recordings has established itself as a leading light in the world of progressive electronic and club music, and has maintained a propensity for quality vinyl pressings and artwork from the beginning. The imprint’s early flirts with Marvel-esque comic imagery yielded a steady output including five limited 10”s that were nothing short of the ‘highly collectible’ mark.

“We are big fans of Firecracker Recordings and it’s a great achievement for PTT Family to be bringing such a creative brand to Asia,” said Jonny Nash, Music Director, PTT Family. “It’s our ongoing aim to collaborate with brands from the music and art space to engage our target audience and bring them a more enhanced experience throughout all of our establishments. Firecracker Recordings electric style and graphic artworks will bring something new to our customers and the local market, so we are excited to unveil the exhibition next month.”

For one night only, Nash will play host to Lindsay Todd, founder of Firecracker Recordings, at Potato Head Folk. The night’s revelries will begin at 7pm, 13 November with the unveiling of the pop-up store housing Todd’s vinyl screen sleeve designs. Lindsay Todd will be available throughout the night to sign copies of his vinyl prints.

The full range of merchandise includes t-shirts, bandanas, and prints and are available for purchase. The partnership will first launch in Singapore with Firecracker pop-ups in Jakarta and Bali following later in the month.
