Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Sweetens the Pot Beyond the Stage!

Roald Dahl's iconic tale is a golden ticket to experiences off-stage!

Roald Dahl’s scrumptiously inventive Charlie and the Chocolate Factory officially comes to life at the Sands Theatre from 19 May to 14 June 2026.

Extending the magic beyond the stage to bring Willy Wonka’s factory to life are a series of fringe activities, including a bespoke photo wall at Sands Theatre designed by acclaimed Singaporean chocolatier and chef-artist Janice Wong, a time-limited Marina Bay Sands light-up, Wonka’s Surprise Golden Ticket Campaign, and exclusive Marina Bay Sands dining experiences.

Janice Wong’s edible take on the Chocolate Factory

In collaboration with Janice Wong, a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-themed photo wall created with 20 kilograms of chocolate paint and accented with chocolate elements will be on display at the Sands Theatre entrance throughout the musical season.

Serving as both a statement piece and an interactive photo opportunity, the installation invites guests into the world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory through an explosion of colour, texture, and indulgence.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory lights up Marina Bay Sands

The iconic three 57-storey hotel towers will be illuminated in the musical’s signature purple hue, while The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands will glow in gold. ArtScience Museum will also feature a projection of Willy Wonka himself. The light-up will run from 20 to 22 May 2026.

A Golden Ticket turns every performance into a game of discovery

Exclusive to Singapore, throughout the musical season, more than 8,000 Golden Tickets will be hidden beneath select theatre seats at Sands Theatre, transforming every performance into an interactive experience filled with anticipation, surprise, and discovery.

Inspired by one of the most iconic moments in literary and cinematic history, the campaign reimagines the thrill of finding a Golden Ticket for live audiences in Singapore, where theatre-goers may uncover exclusive rewards waiting beneath their seats.

Rewards range from curated lifestyle experiences and luxury hospitality offerings to dining privileges, retail treats, beauty experiences, and limited-edition collectibles.
