charc+r: IP in Play happens this weekend at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC), celebrating original character IPs, creators, studios, and the stories they bring to life.
This year’s theme, IP in Play, highlights how character IP evolves across mediums — from illustration to originals character IP merch, from webcomics to published books, and from game concepts to playable worlds.
The event features a diverse lineup of original IP creators, including beloved character brands such as Tasty Toastys, Pee Yong Dairy, Berry Winkle, Chewzy.art, Hello Jayne, Meet Mito, PiguBao, and more — each presenting their unique worlds, characters, and exclusive merchandise.
The Game IP Zone spotlights indie studios shaping new playable experiences, including Battle Brew Productions, the award-winning studio behind Cuisineer; No Average Joe; Springloaded; aliasBLACK; and other creators showcasing prototypes, demos, and character-driven game concepts.
