2017 Summoners War World Arena Championship Announced

Com2uS has finally made it official, Summoners War World Arena Championship preliminaries will be held in various countries across the globe with a total prize money of USD 100,000 up for grabs.

Regional preliminary tournaments will be held in 9 countries where 16 players will be selected to advance to the World Finals. World Finals is scheduled to be held in the United States on November 2017 where the top winner of the inaugural 2017 Summoners War World Arena Championship will be crowned.

Below are the locations of regional preliminaries

  • North America: Los Angeles, New York
  • Europe: Paris
  • Asia: Seoul, Shanghai, Tokyo, Taipei, Hong Kong
  • Southeast Asia: Bangkok

* Representatives for the Middle East, South America and Oceania regions will be selected via online tournaments.

The first regional preliminary will kick off in Seoul on the 27th August, where 500 participants will compete. 8 top winners will compete against each other on 14th October, where top 2 players will be flown to the United States to compete in the World Finals.

For Southeast Asia region, Summoner War players are encouraged to sign up for the Southeast Asia Finals for a chance to secure a place to compete in Bangkok, Thailand on the 23rd September. A total of 8 players will be chosen.

All participants will be selected based on the ranking of the real-time PvP “World Arena”, which recently started its second season. All users who signed up for the tournament will received some in-game rewards.
