For the first time ever, Manila plays host to Asia’s biggest pop culture gathering. Bursting onto the Comic Con scene is the inaugural AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2015 (APCC Manila) which looks to bring together the very best in movies, television, entertainment, comics, toys, collectibles, gaming, cosplay for one mega event in the Philippines.

The event will open its gates to the public from 18-20 September 2015 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila. Pop culture fans can expect to immerse themselves in a content-rich experience across the spectrum of toys and collectibles, comics, games, cosplay and animation including appearances by film and television celebrities, entertainment performances, exclusive screenings, panel sessions, product launches, competitions and fun activities not just for the geeks and fans but also for the entire family.

We’ve had the opportunity to take a look at some of the exhibitors before the doors open to the public and here are our top picks not to miss at APCC:

You’ll find some amazing statues at the StudioADI booth that are extremely picture worthy like X-Men: First Class’ Beast and the fantastic one of Alien vs Predetor.

You might recognize this fellow sapien from the Zookeeper. No it’s not Kevin James, but he sure does a better job at acting.

Discover what makes Bernie the animatronic gorilla tick… literally.

Here’s your chance to be a part of one of the biggest geek events of the decade – Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Share your favorite Star Wars moment on camera and you might just be a featured in future promo material. Also you get a cool movie poster. Remember the time before smartphones, tablets and pads? We used to have board games… as in games that took up actual psychical space. Forget your staples such as Monopoly and Risk, learn and play some of the best and newest games out there at the Ludus Distributors booth.

No comic convention is complete without cosplayers. It’s always great fun to see the work and level of detail in some of the costumes.

Ok, I still don’t quite know what’s gonna happen here. But you had me at Human Foosball.

The statues of Erin Jaeger in Titan form were one of the first things that caught my eye and stopped me in my tracks. Especially the beserker form that actually lights up!
