This March, Marvel’s Avenging Archer, Hawkeye and Howard the Duck are back for a brand new beginning in the ALL-NEW HAWKEYE #1 and HOWARD THE DUCK #1.
Fists, arrows and everything in between will fly this in brand new ongoing series debuting this March, blockbuster writer Jeff Lemire and Eisner-award winning artist Ramon Perez bring a fresh new look in to the life of Clint Barton in the ALL-NEW HAWKEYE #1
With Kate Bishop, his trusted ward and protégé back at his side (note: not titles she would use), Team Hawkeye is thrown in to an all new adventure spanning two generations of avenging archers. Past and present lives collide as Kate and Clint face a threat that will challenge everything they know about how to be a hero, and what it means to be Hawkeye.
“To me, Kate is an equal to Clint in terms of who the ‘star’ of the book is,” says writer Jeff Lemire in an interview with Marvel.com. “It’s equal billing. It will be as much Kate’s story as it is Clint’s. The threat they’ll be facing is very much something new. And it’s not strictly a big bombastic super-villain-y kind of thing. It’s something that hits them both on a much more personal level.”
Next up, he’s a person just like we are….only he’s also a duck. That fine fowl returns to the pages of Marvel Comics in HOWARD THE DUCK #1 – the new ongoing series from writer Chip Zdarsky (Original Sins) and artist Joe Quinones (Savage Wolverine)!
Here’s a first look inside the highly anticipated debut issue. Howard the Duck ventures through the Marvel Universe, trapped in a world he’s grown accustomed to, as the Marvel Universe’s new resident private investigator as he takes on the Black Cat, She-Hulk and mysterious forces from outer space! Plus maybe even a gun-toting Raccoon! (Three guesses on that one!)
“We’re thrilled to be bringing Howard back to the stands!” says series Editor Wil Moss. “The stuff Chip & Joe have planned for this series…well, to be honest, I don’t know if we’ll be able to publish most of it. But the stuff that does clear with legal is going to be amazing!”
