If there were 2 people in the comic book industry that I’d really like to meet right now, it’d Nick Spencer, Tom Taylor, Alex Ross, Mark Waid, Francis Manapul—wait, did I say “2 people”? Okay, let’s pretend I stopped the list with Nick Spencer and Tom Taylor.
Being the writing talents behind the recent Captain America title and the impressive Injustice comic book tie-in, Nick Spencer and Tom Taylor are writers that even if you didn’t already know their names, you’d know their works.
With the Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention (STGCC) coming up, here’s your chance to meet two of the talents behind some of the most talked about comics in recent years!

Remember that Captain America “Hail Hydra” moment that even your friends who have never bought a comic book were talking about?
Well, Nick Spencer’s the man behind the moment. While that particular plot twist has been largely explained (brain washed, apparently, ‘cause comics…), expect more awesome story-telling from the guy who also brought us on the fun ride of Sam Wilson: Captain America as well as The Astonishing Ant-Man.

Ah, Tom Taylor. The man who kept me reading DC even in a world after the nonsensical Flashpoint!
Thanks to his great insight and understanding of DC characters, Taylor’s series was a fantastic homage to the old comics while giving a new spin on this darker world. Something that could be said about his work on Earth 2 as well.
And while I enjoyed his DC work, his move to Marvel has also brought about great titles like Superior Iron Man and All-New Wolverine featuring fan favourite X-23.
