In a groundbreaking collaboration, Ubisoft and Lucasfilm Games are set to release *Star Wars Outlaws, the first-ever open-world game in the Star Wars universe, on August 30, 2024.
This eagerly anticipated game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Amazon Luna, and PC through Ubisoft Connect, marking a new era for Star Wars gaming enthusiasts.
Star Wars Outlaws introduces players to the adventures of Kay Vess and her companion Nix, who navigate the tumultuous times when the Empire’s grip on the galaxy wanes, and the underworld thrives.
Amidst the chaos, Kay, a cunning thief, becomes embroiled in the machinations of Sliro, the enigmatic leader of the formidable criminal syndicate Zerek Besh. With a bounty on her head, Kay’s only path to freedom lies in executing one of the galaxy’s most audacious heists.
Set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, the game invites players to explore the untamed corners of the Star Wars galaxy.
Julian Gerighty, Creative Director, shares, “In search of true freedom, Kay and Nix will journey through the underworld and across the Outer Rim, taking on jobs from syndicates, facing off against intimidating foes, avoiding oppressive Imperial rule, and recruiting a skilled outlaw crew.”
The game’s narrative is enriched by its setting across diverse locations in the galaxy, including the bustling cities of Canto Bight and Kijimi, as well as iconic locales like Tatooine and the newly introduced planet Toshara.
Players can look forward to engaging in high-speed chases on Kay’s speeder, piloting the Trailblazer ship through space wilds, and engaging in dogfights against the Empire and other adversaries.
Star Wars Outlaws will be offered in three editions: the Standard Edition, Gold Edition, and Ultimate Edition. The Gold and Ultimate Editions not only grant up to three days of early access but also include the Season Pass, which features two DLCs, the “Jabba’s Gambit” exclusive mission, the “Kessel Runner Character Pack,” and additional cosmetic packs.
Those who preorder any edition before August 30 will receive the “Kessel Runner Bonus Pack,” adding a special touch to their gaming experience with unique cosmetics for Kay’s speeder and her ship, the Trailblazer.
