After the massively successful collaboration with Pokemon Go, Niantic and Nintendo have jointly developed a new mobile title built on real-world AR technology, bringing beloved characters to life in new ways.
Pikmin is a real-time strategy and puzzle video game series created by Shigeru Miyamoto and published by Nintendo. The games focus on directing plant-like creatures called Pikmin in order to collect items by destroying obstacles, avoiding hazards and fighting fauna.
To kick off the partnership, Niantic and Nintendo are developing an app based on the Pikmin franchise. The app will include gameplay activities to encourage walking and make walking more delightful.
Singapore will be the first test market for this new app, making them the first to play and test the new game before anyone else in the world! interested Players should register their interest and sign up quickly as the number of people who will get early access to the new game is limited.
Slated to launch later this year, this will be the first title created by our Tokyo Studio since it was established in April 2018.
