Mission: Impossible Virtual Reality Game Now In Development

Paramount Pictures’ Mission: Impossible has a new assignment — a virtual reality game. VRWERX, a AAA developer and publisher of Virtual Reality Gaming and 360 Live Action content, is working on a new VR game inspired by Mission: Impossible.

VRWERX who are also working on the highly anticipated VR game “Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul” (which might probably be one of the scariest games ever), is working on a new VR game inspired by Mission: Impossible for all major head-mounted displays including HTC Vive, Sony’s PlayStation VR and Oculus Rift. Similar to Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul, this new VR game will offer an original storyline inspired by the classic spy movie franchise.

“We love Mission: Impossible. We’re extraordinarily excited to enable audiences to experience first hand the thrill of being an IMF agent in this high-tech, adrenaline-charged universe,” said Alex Barder , VRWERX Co-Managing Partner. “In addition to strategic gameplay, our proprietary movement system enables us to innovate running, climbing, fighting, and many other impossible stunts the fabled franchise inspires.”

“Virtual Reality is the perfect platform to offer fans a truly immersive experience of being part of the exciting Mission: Impossible franchise,” said LeeAnne Stables , President of Worldwide Licensing for Paramount Pictures. “Like Paranormal Activity, this VRWERX Mission: Impossible game will be a fully-interactive VR game and we know consumers will love the premise of playing as a smart and daring Mission IMF agent.”

“We’re honored to work with Paramount on one of their premiere franchises,” said Russell Naftal , VRWERX Co-Managing Partner. “We are confident that Mission: Impossible will be another industry leading title demonstrating VR’s unique platform in a way that audiences have not yet seen… It’s going to be amazing.”
