Four years ago, Marvel pretty much broke the minds of comic fans around the world when, following the death of Peter Parker in the Ultimate Universe, they unveiled Miles Morales, the new Spider-Man.
With the effects of Secret Wars affecting the mainstream Marvel universe by bringing everything forward by 8 months after the event, the existence of most of the alternate realities’ characters have been questionable, and none more so than Miles Morales. While we already know that the heir to the Spider-Man throne will be in Marvel’s All-New All Different Avengers, it does remain to be answered as to what his role in the Marvel universe as a whole would be.

Turns out, Miles will be returning to his own solo series at the hands of Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli, the very talent who created him in this year’s Spider-Man #1!
A stranger in a strange land, Miles patrols the rooftops of a New York City that is very different from the one he knew. A world where countless heroes guard it’s skies and streets. A world where Miles is counted among the ranks of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers. A world where Peter Parker is still alive. Though their paths have crossed before the landmark series Spider-Men, with Miles now living in Peter’s universe – is this town big enough for two Spider-Men? More importantly – how did Miles come to be here in the first place?!
