When we think of catering, the usual fare comes to mind – birthdays, house-warmings and events when we are just a little too lazy to cook. But what if you want something a little more… well, Lavish?
Lavish Catering Singapore takes it to another level with what they call ‘curated dining by design’. They’ve basically gone the whole nine yards, and then some… I’m talking gastronomy, great service and an ambiance that enriches the dining experience by stimulating all five senses.
Recently, I had the chance to try items from their menu and I was blown away – from the service and mood lighting (yes, the mood lighting really does help) to exquisite dishes I never fathomed catering companies would actually serve.
The food was absolutely divine, from Asian-Western fusion seafood to the divine, award winning braised beef cheeks which were so tender and juicy that they restored my faith in god. Every dish felt like it was meticulously prepared – even though there were hundreds of servings, it felt that each serving as made just for you. Big thumbs up for consistency.
The only gripe I had was that, compared to everything else on show, their pastries seemed to be loved a little less. I felt that everything else looked so perfect and good, the pastries looked just a little less than perfect, a little less ‘effort’ which made me skip the whole ‘savoring’ dessert portion of my experience.
