Hearthstone Championship Tour Heads to Bangkok and Lunar New Year Treats!

HCT Bangkok will be returning Friday, March 16 through Sunday, March 18 with a total of USD15,000 up for grabs!

The tournament will be open to global players at the Pantip Esports Arena in Pantip Plaza, in the Pratunam district of Bangkok with a 256-player bracket which players will have to sign up online for before showing up to compete in-person.

Players who successfully register for the tournament must cover their own travel expenses. Limited free accommodation will be provided to all attending international players who have earned 5 or more HCT points in 2017’s competitive year on a first-come-first-served basis.

Detailed tournament information can be found on the official Hearthstone blogpost.

Getting in the festive mood, in celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year, Hearthstone will run a special campaign featuring free card packs!

Starting February 15 to February 20 (GMT+8), Hearthstone will offer one free Kobolds and Catacomb card pack as daily log-in reward. Players can receive maximum six free card packs by logging-in to the game for six days in a row.

Players who have Blizzard battle.net account on either US or Asia server with country of residence in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam will be eligible.

World of Warcraft fans won’t be left behind as the Year of Dog introduces a brand new mount to the stable – the loyal Shu-Zen (USD$25), the Divine Sentinel!

Shu-Zen, the Divine Sentinel

Believed by some to be a sign of good fortune and others to be a gift from the Light, Shu-Zen provides faithful companionship to any that would defend Azeroth from the maddening whispers of the Old Gods.

Also join in the fun by dressing up in your Lunar Festival finery, launching fireworks, and paying homage to the Elders throughout Azeroth from Feb.17.

Players can use the Coins of Ancestry from Elders throughout Azeroth to purchase a variety of holiday items. The Dragon Head Costume, Dragon Body Costume, and Dragon Tail Costume are also available this year for players to create a dragon chain for celebration!

Justsaying:
Hearthstone seems to be really taking the world by storm, I kinda regret taking a break after Un’goro or I might actually try out for the championship (though I know I wouldn’t get very far).
