Back by popular demand, from the 16th to the 19th of March 2017, the 4th edition of the Magners Singapore International Comedy Festival is here to leave you in stitches once again.
As part of one of the three pillars of fun incorporated into the inaugural Singapore Festival of Fun (11-19 March), from the 16th to the 19th of March 2017, Singapore’s Clarke Quay will play host to 11 extremely entertaining stand-up comedians as they make a pit stop in Singapore on their much-anticipated Asian tour across the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia at the Magners Singapore International Comedy Festival (MSICF)
12 comedians from around the world; Canada, USA, Ireland, UK, India, New Zealand and Malaysia, will perform in 6 locations in Singapore – F-Club, Maziga, McGettigan’s, Crazy Elephant, Warehouse, and Paulaner CQ, united by a single vision – to leave you on the floor aching with laughter.
With names like Andre King (New Zealand), John Robertson (Australia), Dan La Morte (USA), and Lars Callieou (Canada), among the 12 international and regionally recognized comedians gracing the program line-up this year, the organizers have clearly fine-tuned their selections. And with the 4th edition of the MSICF being part of the wider Singapore Festival of Fun happening from the 11th to the 19th of March 2017, the MICFS is definitely a grand finale that you need to catch in the act.
Of course, no festival in March would be complete without the observing of St Patrick’s Day. For the highlight of this festival, the organizers are sending in the Irish. On the 18th of March at McGettigan’s, Aidan Killian and Matthew Giffen (half-Irish), combine forces in an all Celtic showcase of true Irish wit. According to Matt Bennett, organiser of the inaugural Singapore Festival of Fun “We have searched the world for the brightest and best in stand up comedy. This year’s line-up of comedians are truly the crème de la crème of the business.”
“Magners Irish Cider is thrilled to be associated with and the naming rights sponsor of the Magners Singapore International Comedy Festival. We have a long association with comedy in many markets around the world, particularly the UK. Being 100% imported from Ireland and a world-class brand, Magners is very much looking forward to bringing some top-notch comedy to Singapore.” Said Andrew Herd, Marketing Manager (APAC) of C&C International.
Fans and party-goers will get to meet the comedians and street performers at the SG Festival of Fun Party on 16 March 2017, Thursday at Warehouse located near Clarke Quay’s Fountain Square.
Complimentary Magners cider and finger foods will be served from 6.30pm to 7.30pm for invited guests and VIP tickets only.
